Today the Chancellor announced the Budget for 2010 and the financial inclusion agenda features prominently in a number of new measures, including the much anticipated announcement that consumers will be given new rights to access banking. In addition to this it was confirmed that the first Savings Gateway accounts will be launched in July 2010, and extra support will be made available for parents of children who are one or two years old, a key group at risk of financial exclusion.
