Repairs Coordinator | Arches Housing
Job Description
Arches Housing is a community-based Housing Association providing more than 1,400 affordable homes in Sheffield and Rotherham.
We were formed in 1975 to make old houses into quality homes and to stop the rich and diverse communities of North Sheffield being displaced and broken up. Although we have grown and now serve communities across Sheffield, Rotherham and Chesterfield, we are very proud to still be based in the heart of the community our founders cared about so deeply.
Our culture is unique. We are Investors in People Gold, and according to our latest staff survey, 100% of respondents thought Arches was a great place to work! We take accessibility seriously, and have an agile and flexible way of working and thinking that means we focus on outcomes for residents, and not bums on seats!
Following a refocus of our Operations department we are excited to complete the team so that we can take that next step forward to even better services for our residents.
We want all of our residents to enjoy a safe, warm and secure home that they can be proud of and make their own. Getting repairs right first time is important to making sure we treat residents and their home with dignity and respect, providing a service that offers them value for money. The Repairs Coordinator role is essential to this mission, making sure that the process from the first call to job done is managed seamlessly. This sounds simple, but there are lots of moving parts to making this work well, none more-so than an eye for detail, and being curious to spot issues and find solutions through sound technical diagnosis.
About you
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you like to keep plates spinning, then you’ll love this role.
We are keen to hear from you if you have experience of social housing asset management and repairs and a good understanding of building construction and willingness to become qualified. It’s a must to be a confident user of Microsoft apps and database systems (we use ActiveH), are you’ll be a great team player and communicator, having respect for what our diverse residents should be able to expect from us as their landlord.
For an information discussion about this role please contact Sally Steade, Head of Asset Management on: 0114 228 8100.
Interview Dates: 10th and 11th February
Interview format: Traditional panel interview at our offices in Sheffield, together with an occupational test.
