VCSE Alliance: Participation Opportunity

The South Yorkshire VCSE Alliance is pleased to share the following opportunity with you:

Quality, Patient Involvement and Experience Committee (QPIE) member

This is a new opportunity for a VCSE leader to be involved in the work of NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) in a more detailed way through the QPIE committee which provides assurance on:

  • Quality of services and service transformation

  • Patient safety

  • Community engagement and involvement

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion

This is an opportunity to influence the work of the ICB and could be a developmental opportunity as well.

QPIE meetings take place every 3 months, on Microsoft Teams, for 3 hours. There is a substantial amount of pre-reading to do (estimated 3 hours) for the meetings. The next two QPIE meetings are as follows:

  • 10th December 2024

  • 18th March 2025

For more information about QPIE please see the attached terms of reference.

A role description and person specification is also attached.

Support

Induction and ongoing support for this role is available.

This role is eligible for VCSE participation payments managed by South Yorkshire Community Foundation on behalf of the VCSE Alliance. The payment is available to support the organisations capacity and contribution to the work. The rate available for each QPIE meeting is £150.

How to Apply

An online meeting is being held for everyone who is interested in this opportunity. The meeting will be hosted by Lesley Dabell, QPIE Chair and Karen Smith, ICB VCSE Programme Director and will be an informal discussion.

Details: 4-5pm on Monday 7th October. Please contact Karen Smith k.smith60@nhs.net to informally express an interest and to receive the Teams link.

Following the above meeting, those interested in formally expressing an interest will be invited to complete an expression of interest form to be reviewed by the VCSE Alliance Steering Group and the QPIE Chair.
